Permanent lip color is also known as permanent lip tattooing or permanent lipstick. I like to do a small test into the lip in an inconspicuous area and let it heal for two weeks.

At that time you will be able to see the actual color after it has faded. I want you to look at that color and say “that is what I want” Then we do the full lip. I don’t tattoo just the lip line, as it appears as if your lipstick has worn off. I “only” go outside the lip border to make an adjustment for a misshaped lip as seen in picture set #2.

Having permanent lip color on the entire lip makes your lips look fuller. After the first complete appointment of lip tattooing, we wait 6 weeks and then there is a touchup appointment. If you have ever had herpes or a cold sore on your lips, you must be on an oral anti-herpes medication. Your physician will help you with that.

Full lip color will brighten your whole face and enhance your best features all day and night. A natural appearance or more dramatic color can be achieved. You always have the option of putting on regular lipstick to keep up with the ever-changing trends.
